What is Caring Crafters? We are a group of people striving to help where we are needed. Our work has included the following: Specialty items for the NICU in Roanoke
Gifts at the holidays for our backpack children at Glade Hill Elem. and Rocky Mount Elementary
Birthday and holiday gifts for the elderly at Franklin County Health and Rehab Center
Veterans Day pins and visits to those at the VA home in Salem
Hats and scarves for the homeless
Cuddle blankets for the children in the hospital and much more. You may be thinking you don't have the skills for this kind of group but there is always something you can do or learn to do. We all work together to provide a ray of sunshine to someone needing to know there are people out there that care. Come join us and check out our projects that need people like you and your friends to help accomplish our goals. Meetings are listed in the bulletin but usually fall on the last Tuesday of the month. Food Pantry is the 2nd Thursday of each month. Non perishable food items can be dropped between 9-10:30 am at Penhook United Methodist Church on that day. However, it is best to bring the items to CCC on Sunday and your donation will be processed through Lake Christian Ministries. LCM is a FDA food bank and they require us to check the expiration date.
